About
Goals & Background
As a parent of two young children, I spend a lot of time wondering about the future they will inherit. This curiosity drives me to create resources that not only teach the world students live in today but also prepare them for the challenges and opportunities of tomorrow.

I've spent the past five years teaching high school in Ontario, specializing in senior-level business, social sciences, and interdisciplinary courses. In my classroom, I focus on real-world application, critical thinking, and scenario-based projects that make learning relevant. My students don't just memorize facts; they engage with concepts through media-rich slideshows and hands-on activities that take them from the textbook to the real world.
Before I became a teacher, I dedicated two decades to working with differently-abled youth and at-risk families. I led programs at a nationally recognized summer camp in the United States and designed outreach initiatives for a Canadian charity that supports vulnerable communities. This work deeply influenced my approach to education, shaping my commitment to inclusive teaching, accessible program design, and a student-centred classroom.

I believe that education should be both engaging and equitable. Whether in a classroom or in the community, my goal is to create future-ready learning experiences that prioritize equity, engagement, and real-world application.
I am an award-winning educator, and my lessons are designed to be media-rich and highly engaging, ensuring that every student has the tools they need to succeed. All of my resources include both KTCA and points-based rubrics and are fully editable to fit the unique needs of your class.
With a Bachelor’s Degree in History, a Bachelor's of Education (Junior/Intermediate), and a specialization in special education, my background allows me to design innovative resources that are both academically rigorous and deeply empathetic to the needs of all learners.
